Every quarter, we will release a new edition with a series of three or four original short stories.
My name is Derek Barton, the magazine creator and editor of With Malice. I’ve published to date over twenty horror and epic fantasy novels.
As a reader, you’ll have access to a wealth of horror-filled tales and shock-inducing passages to keep you turning the pages with increasing anticipation. Included in each edition will be author interviews, book reviews, book recommendations, possible writing challenges, and a photo collage of the Goth Girlfriend of the month.

Derek Barton was born in northeast Indiana in 1970. The typical introvert kid; closer to books than people, but grew up with a fascination for horror novels (Stephen King, Dean Koontz) and medieval fantasy (Piers Anthony, R.A Salvatore).In April of 1996, he moved out to Phoenix, Arizona to find his own path.
He has been married to his wonderful wife, Erika since October 5th, 2012. They have three children, Jenna, Johnny and Jessiena! And now two grandsons, Rudy JR and Joey!!

Christy writes with a Southern Gothic soul—tales steeped in haunted houses, cursed bloodlines, and the kind of grief that lingers. When she’s not conjuring stories from the darker corners of the South, she’s wrangling four cats, two dogs, and the occasional demon (one currently housed in the body of a particularly spiteful Chihuahua).
She’s also the founder of Grim Poppy Designs, where she crafts book covers that look like they crawled out of the crypt with style. Christy believes in ghosts, bad omens, and the power of a good story to leave a reader just a little bit haunted.

When she’s not writing, Robin enjoys spending time with her grandkids and her three lively dachshunds. A creative spirit, Robin expresses herself through painting vivid emotions on canvas, transforming feelings into visual stories, and by refurbishing and painting furniture, breathing new life into forgotten pieces to create unique works of art.

T.D. BARTON was born in Indiana in the 1950s. He developed a love of books and writing at a young age and is the author of several books and short stories, mostly in the horror realm. He has two sons: Derek, the oldest, who lives in Phoenix, and Alec, who lives in Palm Bay, Florida. Derek is also a horror & epic fantasy writer, while Alec is a Florida Police officer.
The author now resides in Florida, where he divides his time between fishing, painting, writing, and composing music.
